About The Safety Spot & Charlie's safe haven

The Safety Spot, Inc. is a nonprofit organization formed in November 2007 to help decrease the accidental deaths and injuries of children around the home in Kansas and Missouri.

Our mission is to make Heartland homes safe, one child at a time.

Charlie's Safe Haven is the name of the house that will provide adults with real-life demonstrations, examples and resources on children's safety in and around the home.

The house is named after Charlie Horn, a 2-year-old tragically killed on November 1 2007, when he was attempting to climb a 30" dresser in his home, which tipped forward, trapping him underneath.

The Safety Spot, Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors.
